It is estimated that more than a half of the world population are overweight. Therefore, looking for the best weight loss methods can be a good advice to many people. Among these techniques is running, however, there are many people who spend hours on the treadmills without getting their desired results.

The good thing about running is that it has been tried and proven that it helps people to lose weight. The only problem with it is that the body adapts quickly thus the weight loss is fast in the initial stage but as the body adapts, it hit a plateau. Hence, a person is advised to keep doing longer distance in order to burn the same amount of calories. Here, are the best techniques to improve running and weightloss.

Running on the flat ground is not very effective to burn more calories. However, hitting the hill has been proven to be more effective in burning more calories. According to the studies done, for every degree incline, there is 10% increase in fat burn, therefore a gentle hill burn 50% more calories than a flat ground. Run up the hill for at least 10 seconds at high intensity and then jog back down and rest for about 30 minutes and repeat the same process at least 4 times. On the other hand, if a person is working out in the gym, he or she should set a treadmill to a 7% incline and then reset it back for the jog back. By doing this, there will be more calories burn hence more weight loss.

When it comes to running and weightloss, it is more about intensity than distance. Therefore, rather than running for a longer distance, reduce the distance and increase high intensity intervals. Here is how it is done, jog for about a minute at normal pace and then increase the intensity for 40 seconds. Repeat the same procedure several times. Araullo reported live at around 6:40 a.m. Friday from a street in Tacloban for the ABS-CBN morning show "Umagang Kay Ganda," as he described the devastation brought by "Yolanda" in the area.
The footage, which showed a storm surge carrying piles of debris on the streets, was also aired on ABS-CBN's flagship newscast "TV Patrol."
The video also showed the ABS-CBN News team in the second floor of a building, from where they had a view of the same street Araullo had been reporting from just an hour ago, appearing to be a river of debris.
